Workout of the Week 9/12/21

I hope you have all had a great weekend. Last weekend was the Holiday, so I took some time to spend with my family and stayed off the computer. But we are back this week with a new Workout of the Week. It's actually dedicated to the 20 year anniversary of 9/11/2001. I can still remember where I was when I heard the news and it is so hard to think that I will have to explain that to my son someday.

The lives that weren't lost will always hold a place in my heart. The firefighters, police, and other rescue works scaled 110 flights of stairs, that's 2,200 steps, to save as many people as they could. What we are doing today is a common challenge placed that takes place in honor of those heroes who lost their lives.

No actual equipment is necessary, as you can use whatever you have available. If you have steps in your home, use them, if you have a Stairmaster at your gym use them. If you don't have access to that but have a plyometric box or step box use that. Some add extra weight such as a weighted vest due to the equipment firefighters had on them. Do what you can. There is no time limit. This is to honor those who made the ultimate sacrifice.

Movements

Climb the stairs. Do step-ups. Just move. Then move some more.
