Workout of the Week 1/13/19
Good morning and happy Sunday everyone!! Today's Workout of the Week is definitely one you can do inside if you have the space. I woke up and its freezing here and to be honest I don't like the cold.
I had to run out in the cold on Thursday for a workout at CrossFit Passion and I hated it but I pushed through. I also ran outside for my workout for the 28 Day Kick-Start program the same day. I am just wanting to be warm today.
No equipment will be needed today but you will need space. While I have the space in my living room sometimes I still like to go to a gym on the weekends because its my time to get out.
Movements
As I said before all of these movements can be done without any equipment. I do suggest an Ab-Mat or yoga mat so you don't have to do it on hard ground.
The first movement will be Burpees. Start at the standing position and bend over putting your hands on the ground. Then jump your feet backwards and drop your chest to the ground. Push-up and jump your feet back up to your hands and then stand all the way up jumping with your hands over your head.
After that you will do squats. Make sure you squat low enough that your hips are below your knees. Focus on keeping the weight on your heels and your knees out. Then you will come all the way up to a standing position.
Sit-ups are next in line. Start sitting up and go down to the ground and sit up so your shoulders pass your hips.
Lunges can be done in place or walking. Start in the standing position and step far forward. Your back knee should touch the ground and the front knee will bend without going over your toes. Then stand back up and do it with the other leg.
Workout of the Week
20 Min AMRAP
- 5 Burpees
- 10 Squats
- 15 Sit-ups
- 20 Lunges
This should keep you moving continuously. Scaling options would be to do the burpees against a bench or ball so you don't go all the way to the ground. You can squat down to a chair if squatting is too hard.
